The mission statement of the Open Science Committee is to:

encourage and support transparency, accessibility, collaboration, and engagement in the field of non-clinical computed tomography (CT) research. Through NOCTURN we endeavor to develop an inclusive environment with community-driven guidelines and best practices for the free sharing of non-clinical tomography resources – fostering innovation and progress for the ethical advancement of society with open science as a fundamental aspect.

The Open Science Committee’s mission statement was written by committee member Rich Johnston and won the majority in a committee-wide vote.
